Learning disability nursing involves working with people who have a range of learning disabilities, providing hands on care in relation to people’s complex physical, social and psychological needs. They work in a number of settings, including the individual’s own home, schools, respite units, hospitals and secure services. They work independently and in multidisciplinary teams, with other professionals, teaching how to respond to the needs of someone with a learning disability. |
